Wavetronix Website

Web Design

Webflow Development

2022

There was a decision made to transition the Wavetronix corporate website from our old tech stack of React and .NET to a new "no-code" tech stack featuring Webflow as the platform the website is built on. Moving to a platform that allows my team to build, edit, and maintain the website without any engineering resources has made a huge difference in our capability to make regular changes to the website and the speed in which we are able to respond to requests. Of course, changing to a "no-code" platform like Webflow introduces many unique challenges and limitations. It was our responsibility to think of creative solutions to maintain functionality without changing too much how our users experienced and what they have come to be accustomed to when they visit the website.

My Role
My role on this project was two-fold, first I was the UI design lead where I was responsible for managing and working alongside the team of designers creating the updated design of the website. I oversaw the distribution of tasks and reviewed all of the designs. Second, I helped develop the website on Webflow taking on the majority of the development work at the end in preparation for the launch of the site.
Project Deliverables
The main deliverable was to take the existing website and transfer it to the Webflow platform. We took the opportunity, however, to add new features and update certain design elements to the website. What we got was a new, refreshed version of the Wavetronix website built on Webflow and maintained by marketing.
